Inside face of the Eastern 'Torana' of Krisna temple, Hampi. King Krishnadeva Raya constructed this temple he brought from Udayagiri to enshrine an idol of Balagopala (child Krsna).
Brick and stucco facade of Hampi's Toranas, supported on stone structure suffered a lot of decay & erosion over the centuries.
Here is an example of the fine quality of surviving temple art of Vijayanagara !
