Zdravo Julia. I cannot look at these churches from "Mother Russia" without thinking of Pushkin, Gogol, Tolstoy...of a time when people had time to think about God and Man. These churches encapsulate faith, imagination, beauty,a fine sense of proportion and design and to me also contain an element of a fairytale where snow falls, the wolves howl in the nearby forest and the troikas slide along the snow and ice as the worshipers arrive to pray.
