Jump!, a photo from Valle del Cauca, North

Photographer's Note

Fifth in the my series on the children of San Cipriano.

A child (the same child in photo #3)dodges the incoming cart as he prepares to jump from the tracks. Such a sight is common as often, work and play happen on the same stretch of parallel metal beams. The track which starts in one town extends for many kilometers before it comes to a stop at San Cipriano. On either side of the track live the people who work in the area.

In retro I think I should of shot this photo with a slight tilt and a slower shutter speed to capture the speed of the incoming cart. :\

i really wish you had shot this one a black and white film like a kodak tri x or maybe an ilford hp5
the black and white conversion really doesn't do justice to the photograph :(
still the moment is fabulous

Maybe the best of your pix from this series, as it has the most going on - the others aer moer portraits, which is not really documentary. (Rule 1: Show someone DOING SOMETHING; Rule 2: Avoid the obvious).
