The final shot in this brief series of photographs from within Blue Canyon. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect start to the day as the clouds are unusual. A more typical start to the day would have featured a cloudless sky.

These particular hoodoos reminded me of oriental temple guardian figures.

Visiting Blue Canyon requires a license Hopi guide as the area is ecologically sensitive. Commercial photography requires a special permit in addition to the guide.
