Photographer's Note
Another picture from my night trip to Avebury. This time the ancient stones can be seen. There is a huge stone circle which is dated back to the time of Stone Henge, and is also something to do with sultices, stars, etc. It is a strange place and for some reason has a main road running right through the middle of it. Believe it or not, it was pitch black here, but the moon was full and very bright.
On many occasions I have driven through the circle at night and it is not uncommon for the temperature to reduce suddenly a couple of degrees. And then as soon as you drive out of it, the temperature goes up again. Also, there is a lot of eery ground mist that forms but only within the circle.... Maybe something to do with ancient lay lines and the like. Interesting. Maybe a case for Mulder and Skully.

A very intriguing shot, Russell, the note also. I very much like the compo on this one and especially the night sky and the stars visible, which means good DoF!
cheers

An interesting night shot, Russell. I like how the post on the right with the wire and grass below balances the stark bright road, with the somber stones to the left. A little less glare at the top of the road would have been preferred, but all in all a satisfying scene. Regards. John.
