Photographer's Note
The most quiet day. The ocean was still. The air was not moving. Even the cars passing by managed to somehow keep quiet. You could only hear the airplanes landing at the Reykjavik airport.
I took the picture while strolling on the alley by the ocean, looking at Keilir - one of Iceland's distinguished volcanos. The perfect cone shape and the high rise above the flat Reykjanes peninsula makes Keilir very distinct and easy to recognize. It is known to be the most popular mountain on the peninsula, although not the highest.

Hello,
Un paysage de rêve et un cadrage superbe.
La cabane renforce bien l'arriére plan.
Bravo

Hi Soni, that image is really beautiful, with a wonderful glaciers background and beautiful colours on the foreground.
also the wooden house are well composed in the image.
but are you sure that this image was took in Reykjavik...it remember me more the souther region around Hofn, or close to Skaftafel in the Vatnajokull area!
thanks, ciao

I like the composition in this one - the conical volvanic cones, and the triangle roof complement each other nicely. Kind of a "Man imitates Nature" theme.
A very pleasing photo to look at, and with the unmistakable "Icelandic light" - well done

Of all the beautiful photos of Iceland you have taken this takes my breath away. A beautiful composition of contrasts and superbly balanced for the eye to take in. The lighting is also great.
It's rare to get an interesting foreground, middleground and background all in one shot. The eye skips from the barn to the houses on the middle peninsula and then to the volcano and then off to the other mountains on the right. Great photo soni!

I've become a bit of an Iceland junkie after my trip this summer. So, I greatly enjoyed a tour through your gallery!
This one is among the best in it. The composition is excellently balanced with the house on the right foreground and the village and mountains on the left background. Well seen!
The light and the whole scene is of course very cool due to the variety of blue tones. The sense of a sunny fall day up North is conveyed very well.
Best,
Mikkel
