Ive always wondered who came up with these staircases. They are really quite something. They connect the lower street to the bridge in this shot. Its the only way to get across the canal. They are cold in this day, it's winterleude. They're located in downtown Ottawa.

Nice shot!!! This is definitely interesting. The contrast and comp are great. IMHO I would have preferred it vacant, but hey, who am I??? :) Nice work! TFS.

52 steps in total if memory serves me correctly. Dont ask how I remember that. I recall walking those steps quite frequently on my mall trips down Elgin St over to the Bay - hahaha. Ah, beautiful Ottawa!
