Photographer's Note

A very popular winter sport : quads and snowmobile, commonly called skidoos in Quebec since the snowmobile was invented by J.Armand Bombardier from Valcourt, Quebec, and commercialized under the name of ski-doo.
Quads seem to be getting more popular because they can be used all year long on trails, under rain, snow, sun. In this shot they are just coming out of a trail and are taking the public road (which is forbidden). We were stopped on the side of the road to take pics of a barn (what else !(lol))when this group just past beside us. I didn't have time to modify my settings and almost did not have time to focus but I'm quite satisfied with the result.

I only cropped to remove a post on the right side, I would have liked not to have the building on the right but too much work to remove it and afterall it shows that it's on a public road not on a trail. Increased saturation a litle too.

I like it, Nina. Very effective use to rule of third. The road provides excellent depth. Color and exposure is dead on. It would be even better if the quad at the back does not ovelaps but you can't do much about that :D. Very nice work (can't see your barn anywhere :))

Excellente photo, mais il manque l'impression de mouvement (neige soulevée par le VTR) mais si les conditions ne sont pas là on ne peut pas les inventées, la phtographie a ses limites.

J'en rêve de faire ce type d'engin ca doit être sensationnel !Mais chez moi pas de neige que de l'eau !

Pour la photo de bonne couleur comme on avait pu voir pour l'expedition.
J'aime bien le ciel qui est suprenant sur le bas avec ce bleu qui part vers le gris.
La profondeur de champs est très bonne quand à la cabane sur la droite sans le commentaire je ne l'aurais pas vu !

Nice shot. I like the way the poles lead the eye into the background. You have really captured the mood of enjoying winter. Despite the depressing grey colors of nature the people seem to be happy. I think the bright color of the vehicle and the red snow jacket help to seperate the nature from the human aspect.
