Photographer's Note
I'm just come back from the city centre, where i spent the morning for business.
In the small Piazzetta real, on the right side of Piazza Duomo, there is the giant "Calamita Cosmica", an artwork by Gino De Dominicis...please don't ask me if it's art...
In the workshop there is the total view of Pinocchio.

Wow that's quite an installation, and a very good sureal result you have here. Mmm, we had Monday to chose between Milano and a train/boat trip to Belargio, a tough call, but if I'd know about this, maybe we'd have chosen Milano.

Hi Paolo,
Funny title ... I like your POV. Skeletons as art ... quite morbid for such a vibrant city. Overall resolution is good and so as clarity of details. Well done ... tfs

ciao paolo,
quite an impressive piece of art ... i guess it's a highly debatable question: if this is art or not ... the photograph itself is good, and that's what's important to us here: i like the metaphoric parallel between the shape of Pinocchio's nose and the "needled" Duomo architecture.
well seen!

Hi Paolo,
Yes! This is great art, I mean, your photo... :-D)
I like your different points of view and it’s quite interesting to be able to see the whole artwork.
But definitely, I like this one with the church in the background. The priest must be upset...
Ciao!

Hello Paolo,
A very interesting viewpoint on this statue (if that's the right words) against the background of the cathedral. The nose seems to mimic the pinnacles on the top of the cathedral. Very good tones and clarity.

Ciao Paolo,

Regards.
Daniel.

This must be an amazing sight to see. I had to laugh at the WS as it looks more like Gulliver when he was washed up at Lilliput. All the people in the area are perfect Lilliputians.
This is a well composed image with prefect focus.

Ah, so his nose was this long in his last minute. So the little wooden jerk was still telling a lie to Gepetto even in his death bed. This is awful...
But your photo is excellent. Very well arranged light and contrast, and Il Duomo look awesome even if it is in a vertical frame. I like the inclusion of the man at the background, where he gives us a nice chance of understanding the depth and scale. Good workshop too.
Cheers,
Deniz

Ciao Paolo. An interesting and unusual perspective on the Duomo, with this "Pinocchio skeleton" in the foreground. Good use of the vertical format in combination with a rather low shooting angle to accomplish this comprehensive result. The WS is a very informative add, thanks.

Ciao Paolo! che divertente strano accostamento!! La foto è bella anche se l'opera d'arte non altrettanto.
Ma era Dominicis quello che aveva esposto l'opera "Merda di artista"? O mi confondo?
Certo l'arte contemporanea fa divertire i fotografi!
Ciao!

Hi Paolo,
An imaginitive shot of an unusual piece of artwork. I like how you have shown it against the grand old building in the background. It was a shock to see how big it was in the workshop photo.
Best regards,
Paul.

Don't know about the art part, but it looks definitely like a lot of work. Well-composed with a fine pov. Good job with exposure holding detail and color in the sky. Ciao,

Hi Paolo,
Quite an amazing shot. This is either a nouveau type of artwork or someone's idea of a morbid practical joke - maybe some medical students practising with a cadaver...Actually the perspective is superb, and the skeleton like sculpture contrasts so well with the stately cathedral. You will want to return at a sunnier time to catch the sunlight glistening on the teeth of the skull...Have a happy Easter weekend, Paolo.

Ciao Paolo,
It's good you included the WS so that we better understand what this huge skeleton is doing in the middle of Piazza Duomo. I like the low angle that you've chosen here because it almost totally removes the view of that red/white ribbon around the skeleton and with the Duomo in the background it gives a lot of depth to the compo. I wee that you are very inspired after a morning of business meetings! ;o)
Have a nice weekend.
