Photographer's Note
Like Stonehenge, these stones make circles of theory and mystery to everyone who glances upon them.
Some slight cropping was done to remove the woman sitting on the rock to the left and also give it a more dramatic angle.
Another picture taken on the same day, from a different angle and some modifications can be found on TrekLens.

The cropping certanly made it a more dramatic feel, as well as the contrast between the sunshine and the towering clouds in the background. Beautiful place and well captured! /annaeva

Great composition for this very nice and myterious place. The light conditions are excellent and the sky increases this mysterious feeling (it is maybe cropped too tight). Superb picture. Well seen !

The composition is wonderful. Looks like big gold nuggets in this light. Great color. Well done.

Hello Dan!
Nice view of this cromlech, with the beautiful rolling hills of Cumbria in the background!
Everybody knows about Stonehenge, but not so much about the similar sites elsewhere, so your posting is very interesting.
Do you mind if I add it to Adores's group theme: Cromlechs and dolmens?
TFS!
Marie Louise.
