Sunrise in Kyaik Htee Yoe mountains, a photo from Mon, South

Photographer's Note

Kyaik Htee Yoe mountains are located east of Kyaik Hto town, Mon state. Kyaik Hto is about 150 miles from Southwest of Rangoon. The famous Golden Rock pagoda was built on the top of one of these mountains. If you do the hiking from start to finish it will take a good 3-4 hours for 7 miles of up and down tracking. Very popular designation with tourists and local people. There are daily scheduled buses to and from Rangoon to the foot of Kyaik Htee Yoe mountain in the summer. I took this in December ( winter time in Burma ) morning and you can see the fogs were still there in distant mountains. I stitched 3 frames for this panorama photo.

Did level to balance the color, clone/healing brush in between frames, little saturation, contract and sharpness.

This is an amazing piece of work, Way. The early morning sun and the clouds between the mountain ranges create a very unique mood and color setting in this shot. An awe-inspiring rendition of the beauty of nature, and I also enjoy a lot the way in which the small village in the front left is illuminated. The stitching work is first rate, too. Congratulations on this fine job, and thanks for sharing!
