Extraterrestrial Highway, a photo from Nevada, West

Photographer's Note

We stopped on the main road to take this picture. Soon we would be off paved road and on the desert road on our way to Area 51 and Rachael. This is near a military base famed for nuclear testing, UFO sightings, alien autopsies and other secrets.

We were spotted and monitored before we reached the military base. During the drive back in the night, we came across a group from MUFO who were very informative about the many tricks of the night skies (and the government).

I guess given this distinctively barren setting, your title for this posting is appropriately chosen, Dan. I like how the road provides a diagonal lead into the scenery, and how the various layers of hill ranges are seen towards the back. The "trucks use lower gear" sign provides an interesting and slightly intriguing element. Your photo is well-contrasted in good colors, thanks for sharing it.

Wow...how this image didnt get more critiques\comments??? Sometimes i dont get it Dan...this image is truly good..i mean, a wonderful composition with the road guiding our eyes to the marvelous mountains, really wonderful!! Maybe some artifacts in the sky, but its ok to me.
