Hi Elaine,

A striking photo of this beautiful woman in her spectacular costume. The sharpness is incredible, considering the woman must have been moving. All those blue feathers make a great pattern around her. Excellent work.

A nice colourful photo of an unusual sculpture. It's good to see plastic being reused to create something of beauty instead being thrown away. The sky behind the fish is interesting too. It looks like you have used HDR here. I would like to see a little more contrast.

A spectacular photo of woderful fireworks. Thde exposure is perfect for brigning out the colours and capturing the traces of the fireworks. They do indeed look like flowers. It looks like a fantastic pyrotechnics show.

This is a striking photo of a striking mural. The orange colour of the face doesn't look too strange, surprisingly. It must be quite a sight to see, both because of the size and colours. The person in the foreground provides a handy scale. Excellent sharpness and colour.

Hi Chris,

The artist has used artistic licence in a big way. The mural has a distinct medieval style to it, and it gives a bit of an idea of what went on in the invasion. Hauling the ships overland was a move that the Byzantines would not have anticipated. Excellent sharpness and colours.

The red rocks stand out well against the blue sea and sky. It must be fun to walk along the path around the rocks. The lighting on the rocks is perfect for bringing out their texture. Good colours and composition.
