Intro: I'm an American living in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I'm a photographer because I'm a hiker, not the other way around. Getting out into the nearby Canadian Rockies--or any mountains, really--and hitting the trail is my favorite thing in this beautiful world. Of course I don't get to hike as much as I would like, but I'm still very fortunate to live so close to some of the world's most beautiful mountains.

I started with an old Canon G2 point-and-shoot in August 2006, moved up to a Canon 400D after a couple years, and upgraded in 2014 to the Canon 6D. Here's what's currently in the bag:

- Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
and various polarizers, grads, NDs, and such...
