- Hi, photography and travelling are both passions of mine, and as a matter of fact they fit perfectly together. I live in Helsinki, Finland, where light is a very scarce commodity for several months of the year. Consequently my photo treks at home usually take place on weekends. In the summer time, the situation turns opposite, the sun stays up virtually all day long making the pursuit far more convenient. I bought my first digital camera, a Canon G3, in 2002, and have used digital gear ever since. Not until recently I realised the benefits RAW-shooting offers in post processing, and as a result, my images look much better nowadays. I have an archive of thousands of slides from the old days, which I gradually scan and convert into digital format. This site just came up accidentally. It seems to be an ideal place for sharing and improving one's photography.
